  1. A new billboard campaign is taking aim at tobacco campaigns that have historically targeted black and brown communities. The Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition, based in Cleveland, has created a new campaign showcasing how our local leaders, national entertainers, and family members have suffered because of their smoking habits. The campaign slogan is "You have been targeted." (News 5 Cleveland)
  2. A new trial is underway for a Cleveland man convicted of murdering his wife in 1974. Isaiah 83-year old Isaiah Andrews has always maintained his innocence and was granted a new trial in 2020. Andrews was arrested in September 1974 and charged with aggravated murder in the stabbing death of his wife at the Colonial House Hotel. He is being represented by the Ohio Innocence Project, a law partnership with the University of Cincinnati. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. In the Cleveland-Elyria metropolitan area, there have been a total of 11,359 reported COVID-19 cases for every 100,000 people in the area — below the national rate of 13,574 cases per 100,000 people. (24/7 Wall St. - Cleveland)
