CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified a body pulled from the Cuyahoga River this month.

Oscar Sanchez, 56, was found in the river on June 15, beneath a bridge on I-90, a medical examiner's spokesperson told Patch. Officials said they have not yet determined what caused Sanchez's death.

On June 14, Cleveland police and Coast Guard crews combed the Cuyahoga River after a man reportedly fell into the waters and did not surface. Investigators searched the river and tried to pull surveillance footage from surrounding businesses to identify where the man fell in, according to police records obtained by Patch.
