Police tracked the suspect's cell phone, following him to a motel in Wisconsin and taking him into custody.

CLAY TOWNSHIP, OH — A man wanted in connection with an Ohio homicide case in which a person was beaten, wrapped in plastic and then found alongside the road, has been taken into custody in Wisconsin.
Law enforcement tracked the cell phone of David R. Savage to the Villa Vista Motel in Oak Creek, Wisconsin this week. Police there set up a perimeter and an Emergency Response Unit was called to the scene, according to Oak Creek police reports.
Police reports indicate Savage fled his room while officers were approaching. He and a 63-year-old woman were both taken into custody, according to reports. Authorities from Oak Creek are now working with Ohio's Montgomery County detectives on the case.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's office, Johnson was found dead along the side of Arlington Road on nursery property, near Clay Township. He had evidence of blunt force trauma to the head and had been wrapped in plastic wrap.
“I think I found a dead body,” a nursery worker said in a 911 call made around 12:15 p.m. as reported by WHIO TV 7. “I was driving through and I looked over to the right and I saw this blue blanket on the woods line.”
"His death was a very, very violent death,” said Sheriff Phil Plummer later told WHIO. "He frequented the east side of Dayton and he definitely had a drug problem."
According to reports, Johnson was on the state’s sex offender registry for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in 1999. Montgomery County Sheriffs reported that Johnson's death may have been related to a drug transaction.
