Boys & Girls Clubs Name New Cleveland Area Director

CLEVELAND — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland announced Derick Hillmon is a new area director for parts of Northeast Ohio. He will oversee clubs at three Cleveland Municipal School buildings and clubs in East Cleveland.

“We are thrilled to welcome an accomplished youth professional to our team,” said Ron Soeder, interim president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio, BGCC’s parent organization.

Hillmon's area includes clubs at Franklin D. Roosevelt Academy, A.J. Rickoff School and John Adams High School, in Cleveland, and Heritage Middle School, Saint Luke's Manor and Saint Martin de Porres High School. Sandra Del Valle will continue to oversee the clubs on the west and near east sides.

Hillmon is a Cleveland native, who has a bachelor's degree from John Carroll University and a master's in business administration from Cleveland State University. He was first hired by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland in 2007.

Hillmon now lives in Willoughby. He is married and has three children. HE coaches youth sports, is an advocate of lifelong learning and enjoys cooking in his free time.
