Browns Eke Out 2nd Win Of Season In Overtime
The Cleveland Browns beat the Baltimore Ravens with a field goal in overtime as time expired in the extra quarter.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns won their second game of the season by the skin of their teeth. The Browns went to overtime with the Baltimore Ravens, tied 9-9, and needed a last-second field goal to beat their divisional rivals. Baker Mayfield's second career start will go down as a 12-9 win.
Mayfield had a bounce back game, throwing for 342 yards, a touchdown and one interception as he led his team to victory. In fact, the Browns might have missed overtime altogether if it hadn't been for another blunder on a kick.
Kicker Greg Joseph missed the extra point after Mayfield's touchdown pass to Rashard Higgins, leaving the Browns knotted in a 9-9 tie with Baltimore. With a chance to win the game in regulation, as time expired in the 4th quarter, Joseph missed a 50-yard kick.

So the Ravens and Browns went into overtime and very nearly played to a tie. Mayfield drove his team down the field as time expired, giving his kicker a chance at redemption. This time, Joseph booted through a 37-yard field goal and got the team the victory.
The silver lining to the continued lack of consistency to the special teams game is this: the Browns are still far more competitive than they were for much of last year. Plus, the defense and offense look much, much better.

Still, it's hard not to wonder...if the Browns had a better kicker, what would their record be now?
