Browns Hire New General Manager: Reports
Andrew Berry will become the youngest general manager in the NFL.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have reportedly hired Andrew Berry to be the team's next general manager. Berry, 32, will be the youngest general manager in the NFL.
Berry signed a 5-year deal with the Browns, ESPN reported. The 32-year-old is currently the vice president of football operations for the Philadelphia Eagles. He previously worked with the Browns as the vice president of personnel, from 2016 to 2018.
Former Browns general manager John Dorsey was fired after two seasons in Cleveland. He reportedly disagreed with an internal restructuring of the team's decision makers. Berry, new head coach Kevin Stefanski, and Paul DePodesta, the team's chief strategy officer, will all report to Jimmy and Dee Haslam, the owners of the Browns.

Berry is actually 5 years younger than head coach Stefanski, who was hired this month. Stefanski was one of the finalists for last year's vacant head coaching position. He interviewed twice with the franchise before Freddie Kitchens was awarded the job. Stefanski was the only candidate to be interviewed last year and this year, the Browns said.
Spending most of his career with the Vikings, Stefanski has been in the NFL for 14 years. He worked under three head coaches in Minnesota and was the longest tenured coach on the Vikings' staff.
