Browns Lose Heartbreaker To Oakland Raiders In Overtime
Cleveland is back to losing games after ending its two year drought.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns suffered a heartbreaking loss in Oakland, against the Raiders on Sunday afternoon. The team lost an overtime game by a field goal, 45-42.
After winning their first game in nearly two years against the New York Jets in Week 3, the Browns were unable to keep their winning momentum rolling forward. After leading for much of the game, Cleveland surrendered the lead with 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Oakland kicked a field goal to win the game late in overtime.
The razor thin loss was an inauspicious start to the Baker Mayfield era. The No. 1 overall pick completed just 50 percent of his passes, going 21 of 41 and throwing two touchdowns and two interceptions on the day. He had a quarterback rating of 70.7.

While the Raiders certainly deserve credit for their victory, any Cleveland-based writer would be remiss to not mention there were some...controversial....refereeing decisions in this game. Here's hoping there's better officiating in future contests.
The Browns are currently 1-2-1 on the season. Cleveland will have another chance to win on Sunday, October 7 when they play the Baltimore Ravens at FirstEnergy Stadium.
