Browns-Raiders NFL Week 4: Everything You Need To Know

The Browns are off to their best start since Colt McCoy was starting. Will Baker Mayfield's magic keep the team rolling?

CLEVELAND — For the first time in almost two years, the Cleveland Browns are coming off a winning game. After beating the New York Jets 21-17 last Thursday, the team will be led by rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Browns will head to Oakland to play the Raiders on Sunday.

The Browns triumphant victory on Thursday threw off two years of scorn, ridicule and general ineptness. A team that was famous for going 1-31 over two full seasons is now 1-1-1 on the season. To boot, the Browns have a budding star in Mayfield and an upcoming game against a winless opponent.

The Raiders may be the laughingstock of the NFL this year after signing ESPN commentator Jon Gruden to an insane 10-year deal. Gruden then promptly traded Oakland's best player, Khalil Mack, to the Chicago Bears. The move puzzled even casual football fans, and now the Raiders are a paltry 0-3.

Oakland got smashed by the Los Angeles Rams (33-13), lost a heartbreaker to Denver (20-19) and then blew a game against Miami (28-20). The Raiders will get to host Cleveland, but home field advantage may not be enough to halt the Browns' momentum.

Mayfield entered Thursday's game against the Jets with a 14-0 deficit. By the time the game was over, the Browns led 21-17 and fans were chanting "Baker Mayfield!" in the streets of Cleveland. Will Mayfield Magic turn this into a Browns' season for the ages? Fans will start to get an answer on Sunday.

Here's what you need to know for the game.

When: September 30, 4:05 p.m. kick-off

Where: Oakland, California

How to Watch: Fox

What to Watch: Baker is a young quarterback making his first start in the NFL. That usually means two things: can his offensive line protect him? and can he adjust to the speed of the game? The bright side for the Browns is that Mack's absence on the Raiders has left the team's pass rush toothless. Will Mayfield continue to live up to outsized expectations? We will find out on Sunday.
