Browns-Steelers NFL Week 8: What You Need To Know

Let's hope this one doesn't end in another tie. We're not sure the Dawg Pound can take that.

CLEVELAND — The last time the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns met the game ended in a tie. It was a surreal and Browns-y ending to Cleveland's winless streak. It wasn't a victory...but the Browns also didn't lose.

With two victories and plenty of overtime games since that tie, Cleveland may finally be ready to knock their rival off in the regular season. Baker Mayfield, the rookie quarterback, will get his first (of hopefully many) chances to beat the Steelers on Sunday.

Another loss at Heinz Field could, again, mean changes for the Browns. There is growing speculation that head coach Hue Jackson's job could be in jeopardy after another late loss last week, this time to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For his part, Jackson seemed confident in his role post-game, reinforcing his position with the team, while suggesting he would take over more offensive duties and strip offensive coordinator Todd Haley of some responsibilities.

Former Browns general manager Michael Lombardi, on his podcast, said Jackson was trying to shift blame to anyone except himself in the wake of last week's loss. Fans were split — with some wanting Haley fired, others arguing Jackson has lost the benefit of the doubt after managing only three victories in two and a half years with Cleveland.

Regardless, Sunday's game could have rippling implications on the future of the team. Here's how to watch the game.
