Browns Win First Game In Years, City Celebrates
It's Baker Mayfield time in Cleveland. Free tans for everyone.
CLEVELAND — Bud Light didn't have to make an official decision on Thursday night's game. The Cleveland Browns just won...plain and simple. When the Browns beat the New York Jets, 21-17, it was a victory years in the making.
The team stormed back in the second half after falling behind 14-3. The spark plug that rejuvenated the team? None other than No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield.
The rookie quarterback took the field late in the first half and brought an electric energy to the team. FirstEnergy stadium was rocking as Mayfield led the offense to 21 straight points. When time expired, the Cleveland Browns had beaten the New York Jets 21-17. It was the team's first victory since 2016.

The party in Cleveland will not be short-lived. After flirting with wins during the first two weeks of the season, first against Pittsburgh (a game that ended in a rare tie), then in New Orleans (a game that ended with Cleveland needing a new kicker), the win-starved fanbase finally got the victory they desperately craved.
Northeast Ohioans also got free beer.

Prior to the start of the season, when fanfare around the winless Browns was at an all-time high, Bud Light installed so-called Victory Fridges at bars throughout the metro area. Stocked with free beer, the fridges were programmed to open for a Browns victory.
After last night's win, the fridges popped open.
The news scared Cleveland Police.

The department later reminded fans they could get an Uber, or take the RTA. Just drive sober, they asked.
That's not the only free thing Browns fan will get because of the victory. VersaSpa is also giving away free spray tans to Northeast Ohioans because of the win. Fans can claim their free tan throughout the day on Friday, at one of VersaSpa's many locations throughout the region.
