The Burger Shop Joins Ohio City Galley
The Burger Shop will serve steak sliders and waffle fries.
CLEVELAND — The Burger Shop, from Sauce The City Chef Victor Searcy, has joined the Ohio City Galley. This is the fourth kitchen to open in the space.
“There are numerous burger joints in Cleveland. Some may say the burger concept is over saturated,” said Searcy. “What stands us apart is the complete simplicity and blend of our steakburgers.”
The Burger Shop serves steak sliders and waffle fries. Searcy creates his own burger blend, using high-end cuts. The cheeses are provided by local producers and vendors within the W. 25th Market District.

There are three signature slider options: The Classic (lettuce, tomato, onions with American cheese), the Smokehouse BBQ (smoked brown BBQ sauce, crispy onion rings and cheddar cheese) or the Spiced Portobello (Gouda and pepper jack cheese, sautéed onions and mushroom topped with Killing hot sauce). There is also be a build-your-own burger option.
The restaurant will be a pop-up concept at Ohio City Galley for a few months, according to a press release.

“We wanted to provide Cleveland with another great culinary experience. Burgers were our initial concept when joining the Galley,” explained Searcy. “We kind of stumbled upon the hot chicken concept with Sauce The City. In having the initial goal of providing Cleveland with exceptional steak sliders, we blew off the dust from our initial planning menus and recreated The Burger Shop."
Over the past few months, Pie2 and Grains and Greens opened in the Ohio City Galley. The concepts are operated by Brett Sawyer and Vincent Thomascik. Sauce the City, one of the Galley's original tenants, signed on to remain in the space for another year.
Ohio City Galley is located at 1400 W. 25th Street. The Galley has new hours this year. The Galley is closed Mondays, but open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (bar open till 10 p.m.), Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (bar open to 11 p.m.) and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
