Join LaToya Kent for a restorative sound bath experience in dialogue with Max Spitzer’s Pomodoro Variations, a sculptural installation that functions as a 5.1-channel sound system. Drawing on the Pomodoro Technique, which alternates focused work with periods of rest, the exhibition explores the shifting relationship between sound and silence, signal and noise, and attention and distraction. The sound bath extends these themes through an immersive listening experience, inviting participants to slow down, pause, and reconnect with their senses. Together, the exhibition and sound bath offer an opportunity to step away from the pace of everyday life and explore how sound, rest, and attentive listening can reshape our experience of ourselves and the world around us.
Bring a blanket and what makes the floor comfortable to lay or sit on. As space is shared, a community blossoms.
