- As Case Western Reserve University students return to class for the spring semester, students and faculty alike are looking for COVID testing. Fortunately, they won't have to go far: the Cleveland-based university has stocked a dozen vending machines around campus with free PCR tests. After the tests are dropped off in the designated spaces, they're picked up by the campus lab and tested, with results often coming in 24 hours or less. (ABC Action News)
- A Cleveland native who went missing while skiing has been found dead in California. 43-year-old Rory Angelotta, a graduate of St. Ignatius High School who moved northwest of Sacramento, went missing on Christmas Day following a snowstorm. It is believed that Angelotta traveled from a nearby ski resort and was lost in the whiteout conditions. (Cleveland Patch)
- The Cleveland Police Department is searching for the suspect in an East Side shooting that killed a woman and injured a man. The deadly shooting took place around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday on Broadway Avenue, where several people were traveling to the home of Alivia Leeth. An unknown shooter fired upon the vehicles, striking Leeth and a 21-year-old man. (Cleveland 19 News)
