Cavaliers Lose Game 2 Of NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors may have gotten lucky in Game 1, but they blew out Cleveland in Game 2.

CLEVELAND, OH — The Cleveland Cavaliers lost Game 2 of the NBA Finals in a blowout at Oracle Arena. The Golden State Warriors won 122-103 after cheating the Eastern Conference Champions out of a Game 1 win.

LeBron James was brilliant. He was one rebound away from notching another triple double. Instead, he settled for 29 points on 10 of 20 shooting, while dishing out 13 assists. Kevin Love was also solid for the second straight game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

To boot, Warriors' star Steph Curry was again putrid in the Finals. He shot a brutal 11 for 26 from the field, but did manage to score 33 points. He did hit an NBA record nine 3-pointers though. So that's something.

Kevin Durant bounced back after a tough Game 1. He scored 26 points on 10 of 14 shooting. Still, those aren't staggering totals from Golden State's two stars. This was another winnable game.

Sadly, the rest of the Cavaliers were not as efficient as James and Love. JR Smith went two for nine from the field and scored a measly five points. Warriors fans chanted "MVP" at Smith when he went to the free throw line. The shooting guard dribbled out the clock in Game 1 instead of taking a game-winning shot.

Jeff Green shot two for seven and Jordan Clarkson went one for four.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals will be played in Cleveland on Wednesday.
