Citizens Bank names Broadview Heights resident commercial lending leader for Midwest Region

Citizens Bank has named Jim Madaus as Midwest and Southeast Regional Underwriting and Portfolio Management Leader. Previously, Madaus was Citizens’ Mid-Corporate Banking Senior Credit Officer with credit responsibilities for the Midwest region and select industry verticals.

Madaus, who lives in Broadview Heights, Ohio, joined Citizens in 2010 as Senior Vice President with commercial credit responsibility for the Ohio Middle Market team. He has a strong track record of enhancing the client experience in sales, credit and underwriting roles and is a proven leader in the Midwest.

Before joining Citizens Bank, Madaus was a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at Citizens Republic Bank in Michigan, where he served in a number of commercial sales management and commercial credit management roles. Prior to that, he worked for NBD Bank, which eventually became part of JP Morgan Chase. Madaus earned his CPA license while at Coopers & Lybrand in Charlotte, N.C.

Madaus has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and MBA from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina.
