Citizens Bank Robbed Friday In Ohio
A dye pack exploded on the armed suspect that hit the bank. The FBI says the man may have red dye on his hands, clothing or his stolen cash.
MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH — The FBI is asking the public for help finding a man that robbed Citizens Bank on Friday. The man was armed with a handgun but was tagged by an exploding dye pack that may have stained, his clothes or the stolen money with red dye.
The robbery took place at about 3:15 p.m. That's when the man came into the bank, with his gun, walked up to a teller and demanded money. The teller handed over the cash, including some money with the dye pack.
The suspect then ran out of the bank. The dye pack exploded outside, near the bank, the FBI said. It's possible the suspect is trying to use money that has been dyed red.
