Here are the top three stories today in Cleveland:
- Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb announced his decision to appoint Froilan Roy C. Fernando as chief innovation and technology officer with the city. Fernando will manage the development and execution of the city's technology with an expressed goal of improving the user experience for both employees and residents. His appointment is part of Mayor Bibb's focus on modernizing City Hall and city services. (cleveland.com)
- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority has been awarded $4 million in Federal Transit Administration grants. The funds will be used to improve bus services for Cleveland area residents. Hayden bus maintenance facility will also be upgraded with the funds. (cleveland.com)
- A jury has found Tiffany Gardner, 40, guilty of murdering an elderly Navy veteran in an East Cleveland Auto Zone. The incident occurred on Apr. 14, 2021, in the 15000 block of Euclid Avenue. Gardener is now awaiting her sentencing on Mar. 31. (Cleveland 19 News)
