Cleveland Browns to Play in London Next Year
The team will take on the Minnesota Vikings at Twickenham Stadium.
CLEVELAND, OH - With the Browns sitting at 0-13, and the most exciting thing about the team being a possible parade celebrating their winlessness, it's not too early to start looking to next season. The National Football League announced which teams would be making the long trip to London next year and the Browns made the list.
In Week 7 or 8, the Brownies will travel to Twickenham Stadium to play the Minnesota Vikings. That means the game will take place either Oct. 22 or Oct. 29. The London game will count as a home game for the Browns.
According to the NFL, when 2017 is wrapped, 26 teams will have played a game in London. The league started its English series in 2007. For the league, this tactic has been paying off. It said that viewership of NFL games in the nation has doubled since the program's inception, and Super Bowl audiences have increased more than 75 percent.
