Cleveland Browns Send 2 Players To Pro Bowl
Defensive lineman Myles Garrett and defensive back Denzel Ward will both head to Florida for this season's game.

CLEVELAND — For the first time since 2016, the Cleveland Browns will send multiple players to the Pro Bowl. Defensive lineman Myles Garrett and rookie defensive back Denzel Ward will represent the team in Florida.
Garrett has been a force rushing the passer. He's tied for sixth in the NFL in sacks, with 12.5 on the season. He's also forced three fumbles, blocked a field goal, and deflected three passes. It's hard to believe Garrett is only in his sophomore campaign.
“I’m honored to be selected to the Pro Bowl,” Garrett said on the team's website. “I especially want to thank the fans for all the support that they show our team. Football is a team game and you can’t do it on your own. I’m happy to be able to share this experience with Denzel because this honor is really a testament to our entire defense.”

Ward is a Northeast Ohio native — he went to high school at Nordonia, and starred at Ohio State — and has had a rare and impactful rookie season. The Browns' top cornerback has three interceptions and 11 passes deflected this year. He also has 36 tackles and has forced one fumble.

Throughout Browns franchise history, only six rookies have been selected to the Pro Bowl, including Ward.
“I’m proud that I am able to represent the city of Cleveland at the Pro Bowl,” Ward said. “There are so many great players who have made the Pro Bowl in this team’s history and to be included with them is an honor. I want to thank all my coaches, teammates and fans for helping make this happen.”
The Pro Bowl will be played Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. in Orlando, Florida.
