Cleveland Cavaliers Select Darius Garland
With the No. 5 pick, Cleveland selected point guard Darius Garland from Vanderbilt.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Darius Garland at No. 5 in the NBA Draft.
The 6 feet 2 inches point guard from Vanderbilt played only five collegiate basketball games, but wowed scouts in the lead-up to the draft. Renowned for his sweet shooting stroke, Garland will be expected to form a dynamic duo with current point guard Collin Sexton.
Cleveland went on to select forward Dylan Windler from Belmont with the No. 26 pick in the first round, before trading up to No. 30 (the last pick in the first round) to grab USC guard Kevin Porter Jr.

All three rookies shot above 41-percent from behind the arc in college and will be expected to continue hitting threes in the NBA. NBA fans may have to wait a little longer than usual to see Garland shooting J's though.
The point guard is expected to miss the NBA's Summer League while he continues to recuperate from a torn meniscus he suffered in late November in a game against Kent State University.
