1. Frontline healthcare workers from Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals gathered at Miller Pavillion on Friday to protest mandatory vaccinations for COVID-19. Though the federal government had previously required vaccinations for all staff by Jan. 4, OSHA recently suspended enforcement of this rule. Notably, this does not impact whether individual institutions may enforce their own vaccine requirements.(WKYC.com)
2. Spirit Airlines is prepping for a major expansion at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The carrier recently signed an agreement with the airport that more than doubles its gate and office space at Hopkins.
