Here are the top stories in Cleveland today:
- Another chapter in Cleveland Indians baseball history is coming to a close. Crews have begun work on removing the Indians sign at the Progressive Field entrance, making way for future signage that will include the team's new Guardians moniker. Two weeks ago, the script sign over the scoreboard was taken down. (fox8.com)
- One person was killed and another hurt during a shooting on Cleveland's east side on Tuesday. According to Cleveland police, there were reports of gunshots near a home on E. 114th Street. When officers arrived, they found a 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back on the home's porch; he was rushed to University Hospitals for treatment. Inside the house, officers found a 59-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, pronounced dead by EMS. (Cleveland Patch)
- On Wednesday, MetroHealth partnered with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to give free turkeys to people who need a little help for the holidays. (fox8.com)

- The couple accused of shoplifting at Great Northern Mall and then running over a North Olmsted police officer while fleeing were scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday; however, one of the defendants is under COVID lockdown. (Cleveland 19 News)
