Cleveland Man Dead After Being Found In Home On East Side

Police believe a 41-year-old man, who died on Tuesday, may have been killed.

CLEVELAND — A 41-year-old man was found on Stoughton Avenue with injuries to his head and face on Tuesday morning. He died after being taken to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment, Cleveland police said.

At 8:20 a.m., police were told to go to a home on Stoughton for "trouble unknown." When officers arrived, EMS was preparing to transport the 41-year-old to the Cleveland Clinic.

Investigators believe the man may have been attacked, leading to his death. Members of the Cleveland police homicide unit have been asked to look into the case.

Police said the man's death is still under investigation and further details will not be released at this time.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the 41-year-old as Joe Young, a Cleveland resident. The medical examiner said Young was found at a home on Stoughton and then taken to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment, where he later died. The Cleveland Clinic reported Young's death as a suspected homicide.
