Cleveland Man Shot In Front Of Home On West Side

Police said the man's 9-year-old son was home during the shooting, but was not hurt.

CLEVELAND — A 32-year-old man was found shot to death on a porch on W. 50th Street on Monday.

At 12:10 a.m. police were called to a home in the 3500 block of W. 50th. They found the 32-year-old on the home's porch, with a gunshot wound to his chest. A gun was found next to the man. Officers gave the man first aid until EMS arrived and pronounced him dead on the scene.

Investigators believe someone knocked on the 32-year-old's door and, when he answered, shot him.

Witnesses told police they saw men milling about the man's house with flashlights before the shooting. The Bomb Squad explored the house as a possible drug lab and evidence was recovered on scene, police said.
