Cleveland Metropark's Boo at the Zoo Begins Oct. 20

The safe, fun-for-all-ages event runs October 20-23 & 27-30 from 5 to 9 p.m.

CLEVELAND, OH - With Halloween rapidly approaching, it's time for the Cleveland Metropark's Boo at the Zoo. The all ages event runs Oct. 20-23 and Oct. 27-30 from 5 to 9 p.m.

New for 2016, Sundays at Boo at the Zoo will feature a Special Character Dinner at Stillwater Place. Kids can dine with some of their favorite characters and enjoy a kid friendly buffet of chicken fingers, a macaroni and cheese bar, a dessert station and paranormal punch. Dinner runs from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday Oct. 23 and 30, and includes admission to Boo at the Zoo.

The eight night event offers families scare-free fun with a spooky delight on every corner, including the chance to see many of your favorite animals under the stars. Each child will receive a complimentary treat bag and the opportunity to visit up to eight treat stations. Other activities include a hay maze, special character meet and greets, train rides and the Monster Mash Dance Party. Of course, all of the classic Halloween favorites will return so be on the lookout for magicians, stilt-walkers, clowns and jugglers.

Whether you dress up as an adorable animal or spectacular superhero, everyone is encouraged to wear a fun (not scary) costume. The zoo asks that adults refrain from wearing masks that completely cover their faces. Guests are encouraged to bring flashlights to illuminate some of the darker areas of the Zoo.

General tickets and Character Dinner tickets are available now at clevelandmetroparks.com/boo and at the Zoo's Box Office. Several nights sell out each year, so get your tickets before they disappear. General admission is $10.50 at the Zoo Box Office and $9.50 online, children younger than two are free and Zoo Member admission is $8.50. Parking is free. Located at 3900 Wildlife Way, the Zoo is easily accessible from Interstates 71, 90 and 480.
