Cleveland Police Grant 4-Year-Old's Birthday Wish

The little girl asked her mother to visit police station for her birthday.

A little girl turning 4 on Tuesday asked only for a visit to a police station, according to a post on the Cleveland Police’s Facebook page.

The girl’s young mother spoke with 4th District Lt. Brian McEntee’s administrative assistant, explaining that the girl wanted a uniform, badge and police car. When the message was passed on to McEntee, he was surprised by the girl’s birthday wish.

“I was like, in 17 years I’ve never seen this request. My goal was to make sure this little girl knew how awesome I thought this request was,” McEntee said in the Facebook post.

And the police lieutenant’s response to the request was equally awesome.

District officers gave the little girl, Carrie, a birthday tour of the building and a ride in a zone car. Carrie even got her very own police uniform as a present.

The officers also sang happy birthday to the little girl, in addition to eating cake and ice cream with her mother and grandmother. When the day came to an end, Carrie said that she would be back to visit.

“This by far was one of the best and most memorable days of my career. Happy Birthday Carrie!,” McEntee said in the post.
