Cleveland Police Officer Arrested For Domestic Violence
The officer may also face charges for suspected narcotics that were found in his possession.

CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland Patrol Officer Matthew Sliter has been arrested for domestic violence and violation of the state drug law, Cleveland Police announced this week. Sliter, 35, has been relieved of all duties and will remain suspended until his criminal charges are settled.
Officers were called to Sliter's west side home on Saturday. Sliter lives there with his girlfriend. Following an investigation, the 35-year-old was taken into custody.
While being booked at the Central Prison Unit, officers found suspected narcotics in Sliter's possession. The case against Sliter is still being investigated, police said.

Sliter's most recent police assignment was in the Fourth District, handling basic patrol. Internal Affairs and Integrity Control Section are investigating the officer.
In an unrelated matter, Patrol Officer Tramain Golston has been charged with operating a vehicle impaired after he had a car accident on Friday. Golston was involved in an accident on IR 176 South, near Spring Road.

After the accident, police were called to the scene. They determined that the 29-year-old Golston was impaired. He was then taken to MetroHealth for a knee injury.
He has been cited with misdemeanor OVI. He will be assigned to restricted duty once he returns from sick leave and until the criminal charges are settled, a spokesperson for Cleveland Police said.
