Clinton and Trump Campaigns Plan Post-Debate Visits to Ohio

Hillary Clinton will send husband Bill to Toledo on Tuesday, while Donald Trump will send running-mate Mike Pence to Leetonia.

CLEVELAND, OH - Even as an estimated 100 million Americans prepare to watch the first debate between Democratic nominee for president Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump, both campaigns are preparing for visits to Ohio.

The Clinton campaign will send former President Bill Clinton to Toledo on Tuesday. Clinton will be appearing at Waite High School from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Since Sept. 27 is National Voter Registration Day, expect him to urge unregistered voters to get registered and for registered voters to get their friends registered.

Then on Wednesday, Donald Trump's running-mate Governor Mike Pence will appear at Leetonia High School. That event will start at 6 p.m., but gates will open at 3:30 p.m.

With 42 days until the election, Ohioans can expect a flurry of visits from both the candidates and their representatives. No Republican candidate has ever won the White House without winning Ohio, which frequently gives the state the designation of bellwether.
