Convicted Child Rapist Sentenced To Prison For Child Pornography

A Cleveland man was sentenced this week to 293 months in prison for possession of child pornography.

CLEVELAND, OH — A Cleveland man was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison for child pornography crimes this week. Roland Wolfe, 53, has already been convicted of raping a child, but he's now facing down more time in prison for child pornography.

Wolfe was sentenced to 293 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to receiving and possessing child pornography. He was previously convicted in the late 1990s of raping a child under the age of 13. He was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Wolfe was using Cleveland State University's free wi-fi to look at child pornography on his personal laptop in 2016. He was eventually caught, arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and obstructing official business, court document said.

Police tracked Wolfe to a Cleveland homeless shelter. They found a Dell laptop computer and five USB storage devices in his possession, each of which had child pornography on them, court documents said.
