Coyotes, Eagles, Bocats, Oh My! Animals At Cleveland Museum

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is planning daily "animal encounters" for attendees.

From Cleveland Museum of Natural History:A new program at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History features a trio of daily live animal encounters - Wild Encounters at Perkins II Wildlife Center and Woods Gardens—Presented by KeyBank.

Each day, at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm (and Sundays at 3:00 pm) in Perkins (weather permitting), and 1:30pm in Sears Hall, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will feature Wild Encounters, a spotlight on individual animals and exhibits. These encounters will rotate between otters, coyotes, eagles, bobcat, foxes, raven, birds of prey and wetland and will feature curated experiences in feeding, training and enrichment of the animals. Wildlife Specialists will be in the exhibits doing the activities and our summer program interns will be describing the action, giving the back stories of the animals, and describing the role that the Museum plays in science, education and conservation.

"One of the many amazing resources at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is the Perkins Wildlife Center, featuring native wildlife in a zoo-like setting," said Harvey Webster, Chief Wildlife Officer. "Visitors can experience live Ohio animals in dramatic and immersive ways that make for intimate, unexpected and wild encounters. It is a dynamite place for exploration, discovery and fun!"
