Damaging Thunderstorms Possible This Week In Northeast Ohio
Heavy rainfall could lead to flooding in some areas when inclement weather forms over Greater Cleveland on early Tuesday.
CLEVELAND — Damaging thunderstorms could form in Northeast Ohio on early Tuesday, the National Weather Service said. Some areas could see flooding from heavy rainfall or suffer downed power lines from strong winds.
In a Hazardous Weather Statement, the National Weather Service said storms could start at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms on Monday night and a strong chance of storms on Tuesday morning.
"Some of the storms may be strong to severe, with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. Heavy rainfall may lead to flooding in some areas," the National Weather Service warned.

The thunderstorms could form throughout much of Northeast Ohio, including Cuyahoga, Lorain, Summit and Erie counties. Inclement weather is expected in the region through Tuesday afternoon.
Much of this week will be overcast, with clouds expected in the sky until Friday. Rain and storms are possible Monday night, Tuesday and Thursday, according to current forecasts. The inclement weather will mean moderate temperatures for much of the week, with highs in the upper 70s expected through Friday.
