Dead Body Found On Community College Avenue In Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH — A 30-year-old was found dead near a Cuyahoga Community College campus early on Sunday morning. Police said the man was discovered inside his car with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police received a call saying shots had been fired near E. 36th and Community College Avenue at 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived they saw a car with multiple "defects" on the front windshield and a man inside the car with multiple gunshot wounds.

The 30-year-old died on the scene from his injuries. Police said an investigation revealed that a suspect, or suspects, began shooting at the man while he was in the area of E. 55th and Central shortly after he had a birthday celebration for a recently deceased friend.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office and the homicide unit were both called to the scene. Detectives are continuing to investigate the killing.
