Dead Body Found Near Entrance Of Cleveland Park

A man in his 30s was shot multiple times in the head at about 4 p.m. on Friday. His body was found near McClendon Park.

CLEVELAND, OH — A man was shot in the street near E. 98th and Gibson Avenue on Friday, Cleveland Police said. The man died from his wounds, and his body was discovered at 4 p.m., in broad daylight, at the entrance to the Carol McClendon Park.

Police said the man had been shot multiple times in the head. Officers gave the man first aid until EMS units arrived on the scene.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to University Hospitals for treatment. He was declared dead at the hospital.

Witnesses near the shooting told police they heard shots fired, then saw a man running from the area. No arrests have been made yet in this case and detectives continue to investigate.
