Detroit-Superior Bridge Work Starts Thursday
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced Monday that construction on the bridge would begin this week.
CLEVELAND — After two delays, construction on the Detroit-Superior Bridge will begin this week, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced on Monday.
Starting Thursday, crews will reduce the bridge to one lane in each direction. That traffic pattern will remain in place through at least mid-November while bridge deck repairs are performed.
ODOT said the project will focus on maintenance for the driving surface of the bridge and repairs on and below the bridge. Additional work on Detroit-Superior will take place below the bridge in 2020 and should have minimal impact on traffic.
