Downtown Cleveland Hilton Garden Inn Sold
The 240-room hotel was purchased by MCR, the fifth-largest hotel operator in the U.S.

CLEVELAND — The Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Cleveland has been purchased by MCR, the fifth-largest hotel operator in the U.S. The 240-room property is located at 1100 Carnegie Avenue, adjacent to Progressive Field.
MCR operates five other hotels in Ohio, though none are in the Northeast Ohio region. The company owns a Hilton Inn in Columbus, a Homewood Suites in Columbus, a Courtyard by Marriott in Lima, a Homewood Suites by Hilton in Cincinnati and a Hampton Inn Suites in Toledo.
MCR did not disclose the purchase price of the hotel.

The Hilton Garden Inn property includes two restaurants, the Garden Grille which serves breakfast and dinner, Harvey's Sports Lounge, and a 24-hour convenience store. The building also has 11,000-square-feet of meeting and event space.
In a press release announcing the acquisition, the company touted the proximity of the hotel to the "A Christmas Story" house. MCR's Senior Vice President of Construction Jason Garone said he has seen the film roughly 100 times and was thrilled to pose next to the famous leg lamp in Cleveland.
