Drive-by Shooting on Dudley Avenue Leaves 2 Children Wounded; 1 Victim May Have Known Shooters
A 3-year-old and a 9-year-old were struck in the face and back during the shooting.

CLEVELAND, OH - Police have released more details about a drive-by shooting on Tuesday night that resulted in a 3-year-old being shot in the face and a 9-year-old being shot in the back. Both children are currently at MetroHealth.
The shooting took place at a Dudley Avenue home while several adults and children were inside.
According to the newly released police report, two residents were sitting on the front porch when three men approached the house. Two of the men that approached were familiar with the residents. The third, named only as Antonio in the report, was not. The three men told the group that they had just robbed a female and the group urged the three men to leave the area before someone came looking for them.

A black, four door sedan then pulled onto the street in front of the house. The back passenger side window rolled down and began to shoot at all five people. A neighbor heard gunshots, saw a black Honda with four men inside peeling down the street, and rushed to the house. He saw that two children had been shot.
It is not yet clear who the shooting targeted., but when police arrived, one of the victims said that Antonio had shouted, "What up, Juan?" at the car before the shooting. Another resident said that Antonio, and his companions, would know who the shooters were because he had "just robbed someone and they were the ones being shot at." Antonio was not on-scene when police arrived.

Officers also located the robbery victim and she was able to identify one of the males as the individuals who stole her purse.
