Driver Crashes Car After Being Shot In Cleveland
Police said an 18-year-old is dead after he was shot in the back while driving in Cleveland.
CLEVELAND — A teenager was killed and another was hurt during a shooting in Cleveland on Wednesday afternoon.
Police and EMS pulled an 18-year-old out of a crashed car on E.. 84th Street at 3:30 p.m. The teenager had been shot in the back. He was taken to University Hospitals where was pronounced dead. Another teenager, 17, suffered facial injuries in the crash.
Investigators believe four people were in a car on E. 84th, the 18-year-old was driving and the 17-year-old was in the passenger seat. A man and woman were in the backseat of the car. Police believe the man in the backseat shot the 18-year-old driver. The driver then crashed the car into a tree, hurting the 17-year-old in the passenger seat.

Police said the man and woman in the backseat ran after the crash. Investigators believe the shooting may be drug related, a Cleveland police spokesperson said.
