Elderly Man Beaten To Death In Cleveland: Police
Police said a 94-year-old man was found dead inside his home on Cleveland's west side.
CLEVELAND — A 94-year-old man was beaten to death inside his home in Cleveland, police said. The man's body was found on Wednesday afternoon. He had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and body, police said.
At 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to a home on Plymouth Road to do a welfare check. The man's family had been unable to reach him and asked officers to look in on him.
Officer and EMS entered the man's home and found him on the ground. He was declared dead on the scene.

Police said the man had preexisting medical conditions and used a wheelchair.
Members of the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the man's death. On Thursday, the medical examiner ruled the man's death a homicide, saying he had died due to blunt force trauma to the head and body.

Cleveland police's homicide unit are investigating the man's death. No arrests have yet been made.
