- The Cleveland Police Department asks the community for help in identifying the man who was found dead in a Cleveland sewer on Feb. 2, 2022. The body was found by Northwest Ohio Regional Sewer District employees while working on a sewer in the 16400 block of Euclid Avenue. The body has a series of distinct tattoos on his arms, neck, and chest. Pictures have been posted by the police in an attempt to identify the body. (Cleveland 19 News)
- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio have raised concerns about a new prison that is being planned for the Slavic Village neighborhood in Cleveland. The prison is being proposed by Cuyahoga County and will cover approximately 40 acres of land near I-77. Officials with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio argue that the prison would be a "slap in the face" to a community that is still reeling from the 2008 foreclosure crisis. (Cleveland Patch)
- The Cleveland Police Department presents a new program meant to change the culture of policing. The new program is gaining national attention for its focus on police becoming "guardians, not warriors" of the communities they serve. The program's goal is to promote empathy among the Department while conducting engagement surveys with the officers. (Cleveland 19 News)
