Ex-'Headbangers Ball' Host Coming To Melt In Independence
Riki Rachtman is stopping by the restaurant during his yearly cross-county motorcycle ride for charity.

INDEPENDENCE, OH — One of the most iconic hosts from MTV's Headbangers Ball is coming to the Independence Melt Bar and Grilled on Friday, July 27. Riki Rachtman will visit the restaurant during his yearly cross-country motorcycle ride for charity.
This year, Rachtman is riding for Stop Soldiers Suicide, which provides mental health and PTSD referrals, emergency financial aid, housing assistance and alternative therapies for military, veterans and their families. This year the former TV host will ride nearly 18,000 miles around the U.S. to raise money and awareness for the organization. Rachtman will be joined by tattoo artist and model Lea Vendetta.
“We are stoked to welcome Riki Rachtman to Melt!” said Melt Bar and Grilled owner and founder Matt Fish, “and I know he is ready to twist that throttle, hit the road, and raise money and awareness for Stop Soldier Suicide. Riki loves Cleveland, and here is your chance to hang out with him and return the love.”

Rachtman also owned The Cathouse, a notorious rock establishment in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as hosting "The Rock of Love," "Daisy of Love," "Charm School," and "LOVELINE" with Dr. Drew.
“Riki helped introduce tons of us to bands like Guns n’ Roses, Motorhead, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains,” said Fish, a musician himself, “So he’s a legend. Come to Melt Independence and hang out with Riki and Lea to raise money for a great cause. To help Riki out, Melt will be donating 15% of total sales on Friday, July 27th from 5pm to close.”

Fans will have the opportunity to bid on a chance to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Rachtman and Lea. The duo will hit the museum on Saturday, July 28.
