Fatal 3 Car Accident In Cleveland: 2 Dead, 1 Hospitalized

A three-car accident on Cleveland's east side resulted in two deaths on Tuesday.

CLEVELAND — Two people died after a car accident in Cleveland on Tuesday morning, police announced.

At 11:15 a.m., a Jeep and Chrysler minivan collided on St. Clair Avenue. The collision sent both vehicles into a spin, and the minivan smashed into a wall on E. 134th Street, while the Jeep hit a Saturn Vue.

Two passengers in the minivan — 19-year-old man and a 31-year-old man — were both pronounced dead on the scene, Cleveland police said.

The 44-year-old driver of the Saturn was taken to University Hospitals to be treated for back and leg pain.

Police said the Jeep started the chain of accidents, hitting the minivan first.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the accident.
