- After COVID-related cancelations, the FIRST Robotics Competition is finally back in Cleveland, inspiring a new wave of local talent in IT. The Buckeye Regional qualifying matches will be held this Saturday at The Great Lakes Science Center, with the world championships to follow in Texas this April. While many Northeast Ohio schools participate in this event, it's rare for large urban districts to compete — and this year, four Cleveland schools have teams. (News 5 Cleveland)
- Due to surging COVID numbers in the area, the Cleveland Orchestra has postponed its annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration concert. The event, originally slated for Jan. 16, will now take place this summer on Jun. 4. The orchestra announced that in lieu of the live show for MLK Day, people can enjoy a free stream of the full video from the 2018 concert. (Cleveland Scene)
- The Eagles have extended their "Hotel California" 2022 tour dates, adding a stop in Cleveland among other cities. Tickets for the newly-added dates will go on sale Friday, Jan. 14 at 10:00 a.m. (Broadway World)

- Cleveland police are asking for help in finding missing 33-year-old Antonio Simpson, who was last seen on Jan. 4 at his residence. Simpson reportedly ran off from staff in an unknown direction and has not been located since then. (Facebook)
