Flooding Possible As More Rain Hits Northeast Ohio
The non-stop precipitation has left many Greater Clevelanders feeling like the rain may never end.
It hasn't quite been 40 days and 40 nights, but Northeast Ohioans are starting to feel like the rain may never stop.
For days, overcast skies have given way to precipitation, strong winds and a possibility of flooding in low-lying areas. Much of the end of April, and now the beginning of May, was filled with rain.
Will the rain go away this weekend? Current forecasts say yes, but Greater Cleveland residents will have to wait a bit to see the sun.

First, Northeast Ohioans will need to get through more rain though. The National Weather Service warns that scattered thunderstorms are possible overnight on Thursday, into Friday morning. The storms could concentrate rainfall and lead to flooding in some areas.
"Another round of rain is expected overnight which will bring an additional quarter to half inch of rain to much of the area. Recent rainfall has led to saturated soil conditions and localized flooding could develop in any areas that receive heavier rain or thunderstorms," the National Weather Service said.

Communities near rivers or large creeks should be cognizant of possible flooding overnight. And conditions won't dry out soon.
The National Weather Service is predicting a chance of rain showers throughout Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Luckily, the sun should finally make an appearance on Sunday and Monday, before the rain returns again.
The constant rainfall should break on Saturday night, leading to sunnier skies on Sunday. The sun will hang around on Monday, before rain showers could make a return. The National Weather Service thinks overcast skies and precipitation could again hit Northeast Ohio during the middle of next week.
