CLEVELAND — Steady rainfall could cause flooding in parts of Northeast Ohio this week.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the National Weather Service predicted. Heavy rainfall could cause flooding in parts of Ohio, the agency said.
Rain is likely to start Monday. Up to a .5 inch of rain could fall on Monday, with some areas receiving even more rain. Thunderstorms could develop overnight, but are likely to disperse before 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

"Efficient rainfall from showers and thunderstorms is again possible on Tuesday. Heavy downpours may result in localized flooding and rises on area creeks and streams.
There's a 30-percent chance showers continue into Wednesday. Thunderstorms and rain are possibilities, albeit slight ones, for much of the work week in Northeast Ohio.

Temperatures are unlikely to break into the 80s due to the rain. The first sign of true summer heat could come on Sunday, when the high is projected to be 82 degrees.
