Footage Of Shooting Suspects Released By Cleveland Police
Two bicyclists may have shot a man five times after he confronted them over possibly stealing their bikes.
CLEVELAND, OH — Eight spent shell casings, flip flops and a trail of blood were found by police after a shooting on the city's east side, but initially officers could not find a wounded person. Witnesses were able to describe the suspected shooters though — two people riding bicycles, possibly teenagers.
The investigation started after police were called to E. 200th Street at 10:30 p.m. on August 2. They were told shots had been fired in the area.
When officers arrived, they were flagged down by witnesses who told them what happened. Two people on bicycles had ridden by Ludwig's bar, and a short while later seven to eight shots were fired. After the shots were fired, a man screamed, "I'm shot," one witness said. The man then got into a red vehicle, which screamed off into the night.

Officers were sent to Euclid Hospital, where two people with gunshot wounds eventually came in. One of the victims, a woman, was in stable condition. The second victim, a man, was in critical condition — he had been shot five times, twice in each arm and once in the chest. He was lifeflighted to MetroHealth for treatment.
The wounded woman was able to tell police what happened. She said that she and her friend were driving in the area when they saw two people on bicycles. The bikes looked like bicycles that were stolen from their kids days earlier. They decided to confront the bike riders.
