Former Fox 8 Weatherman Dick Goddard Tests Positive For COVID-19
In a brief message posted to Facebook, Goddard's daughter Kimberly said her father has contracted COVID-19.
CLEVELAND — Iconic former Fox 8 weatherman Dick Goddard has contracted the new coronavirus, his daughter announced on Facebook.
Kimberly Goddard, Dick Goddard's daughter, shared news of her father's diagnosis on Monday morning. The former weatherman and animal rights advocate is 89. He recently began recovering from a severe illness, according to Fox 8.
Goddard was a weatherman in Cleveland for more than five decades. He retired in 2016, after setting the Guinness World Record for longest career as a weather forecaster.
