COLUMBUS, OH — Two former Ohio State University football players have been indicted on charges of rape and kidnapping, officials said. Defensive backs Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint were dismissed from the Buckeyes after the charges were announced on Feb. 12.

A grand jury indicted the two men on Friday, according to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien. If convicted, they could face up to 33 years in prison, according to ABC News.

Both men made an initial court appearance last week and pleaded not guilty to the accusations of rape.

Judge Cynthia Ebner set bond at $100,000 for Riep and $75,000 for Wint and ordered that the men not have contact with the accuser or each other. They also were ordered not to discuss her on social media, according to the Associated Press.

According to Fox 8 and court records, Riep was having consensual sex with a woman on Feb. 4 when she decided she wanted to stop. Then Wint walked into the room and the two football players held the woman down and continued having sex with her, Fox 8 reported.

The woman was then forced to make a video saying the sex had been consensual before she was driven home, ESPN reported.

Wint's attorney, Sam Shamansky, said the former college football player was innocent. He argued that police waited seven days to arrest his client.

"Were my client some stone-cold rapist, kidnapper, he wouldn't have been on the street for seven minutes, not to mention seven days," Shamansky told the Associated Press. "This case is so full of reasonable doubt it's beyond belief. The reality is, my kid's innocent."
