Fugitive Of The Week: Murder Suspect Wanted By Police

A 32-year-old man has been eluding law enforcement. If you see him, call the police.

CLEVELAND, OH — The U.S. Marshals and Cleveland Police are looking for a 32-year-old man wanted for murder. Harold Melton is accused of shooting Shaylamar Gilmore multiple times on Jan. 10, 2018.

Gilmore, 34, was killed in the 7900 block of Detroit Ave. Police have said they want Melton in connection with the homicide.

Melton is a black man, standing about five feet nine inches tall and weighing 245 pounds. His last known address was in the 3400 block of W. 91st St. in Cleveland. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that leads to Melton's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call NOVFTF at 1-866-4WANTED or text keyword WANTED and tip to 847411 (tip411). Tipsters can remain anonymous.
