🌱 Fundraiser For Trauma Victims + Guardians Nominated For Major Award

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Cleveland.

Good morning, everybody! It's me, Sean Peek, your host of the Cleveland Daily. Here's everything you need to know about what's happening locally.

But first, today's weather:

Windy; colder, morning rain. High: 51 Low: 30.

Here are the top three stories today in Cleveland:

  1. The Mark Kalina Jr. Foundation will host a "Buy-A-Brick" fundraiser to support trauma victims. The program is devoted to helping people who have experienced traumatic injuries, as well as their families. Proceeds will go to the Kalina House, a housing program for individuals suffering from trauma. The fundraiser will run through the end of the year. (cleveland.com)
  2. U.S. Marshals have arrested two individuals wanted for a Cleveland murder. In August, 28-year-old Cardell Hawthorne was found dead on the street in the 3900 block of East 176th Street. The two suspects, My'Laisa Addison and Christian Kendricks, were engaged in a physical fight over money at the time. Hawthorne had been attempting to break up the fight. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. The Cleveland Guardians have been announced as a finalist for a prestigious award. Already, the 2022 American League Central Division champions have received accolades and honors for an incredible season. And now, Baseball American has nominated the Guardians for its Organization of the Year Award — its highest possible honor. The winner will be announced on Dec. 1. (Cleveland 19 News)
