  1. The Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Cleveland now features a memorial garden for the victims of serial killer Anthony Sowell. The Garden of Eleven Angels opened this weekend, providing a source of both closure and remembrance for the victims of Sowell and the surrounding community. Several organizations led a years-long effort to acquire Sowell's Imperial Avenue house, demolish it, and replace it with a community garden. (Cleveland Patch)
  2. The Phoenix Police Department hosted a recruiting event at the Ohio Marriot Key Tower on Saturday to attract officers from the Northeast Ohio area. Prospective applicants cited warmer weather and better financial and career incentives as reasons to make the move.
